About  [Edit]

Invite Obama
Invite Kucinich
Raise Hillary
Invite Richardson

Iowans are ready to support a leader who will solve the climate crisis. At the Climate Caucus, citizens will challenge the leaders to commit to the policies that the science demands. The Climate Caucus will be held at Iowa's old capitol, at the intersection of Iowa and Clinton. Will there be a similar meeting of Iowa and Clinton at the Climate Caucus?

What is Step It Up?

Step It Up 2007 is a campaign organized by people all around the country, calling for leadership on global warming. Our goal is to empower the grassroots climate movement to take action locally by calling for national change.

The central Step It Up team coordinates the national day of action. We do not provide financial assistance to local events, however, we provide as much support as we possibly can! We also maintain the website, and do our best to connect local Step It Up organizers with the wider grassroots climate movement.

Our central office is in downtown Manchester, NH. We open our office to the public, and host movies, music, and meetings for community partners throughout Southern New Hampshire.  We offset all the carbon emissions associated with working on Step It Up, thanks to help from Clif Bar and Native Energy!

Step It Up 2007 will not support or oppose any particular candidate for public office or any political party. Nor does it take positions on legislation.

I have the Old Capitol tentatively reserved for 4-6pm. As the events are combined is the time/format the same? Do I need to change the arrangements or can I procede with the paperwork on the Old Capitol?

Hey guys, can we pursue Governor Richardson? He has the most aggressive energy platform of all the candidates and as former Energy Secretary and current Governor whose state is on track to comply with Kyoto, it would be a real coup to get him to Iowa City.
