As part of the United Nations
International Day of Peace initiative, Spiraluniverse will be running a poetry
competition across the UK.
The first competition was run last year and received 194 poetry entries. The winning poem was made into a flash movie which was visited by over 700 people over 2 days (21/22 Sept)

Entering your poem in the Poetry for Peace competition is easy and quick. Simply cut and paste your poem into the entry form and click on submit. Remember you can come back and make as many entries as you like.
Cost: FREE
Criteria: Anyone over 8 years can enter the poetry for peace competition
Deadline: All poems must be received by the 4th of September 2007
Details: Entries must be no longer than 20 lines
The winning poem will be used as the theme for a one page flash website designed by a leading web design company. The winning poem will be annouced on the 9th of September, at the start of the London Week of Peace, and the website will be launched on the International Day of Peace, September 21 2007 and will be used by key Peace partners.
Young people below the age of 16 must seek consent from their parents/carers before entering the Spiral Poetry for Peace competition.
