About

Keep it Green Hawaii & Native Fm presents Bob Fest Agricultural Fair 2010 Sunday, February 7th starting at 12:00 noon to 6:00 PM at Mo’oheau Park & Bandstand in Hilo and International reggae artists & local Hawaiian bands will perform. A crucial musical line up TBA

Organic farms and farmers, charter school garden groups, Kona CPR, Sustainable Island Products, and CERT Hawaii plus more will be demonstrating & vending. Music lovers will get a chance to mingle with local farmers, buy fresh produce, learn disaster preparedness, sign up for garden workshops and take part in the Seed Exchange. Expert growers will be on hand to demonstrate reliable & sustainable gardening techniques and green living. Fun Eco Activities for the Keiki will be sponsored by Hualalai Academy.

Reggae is the gateway & Bob Fest Ag Fair is the place to celebrate, to promote Hawaii’s agriculture, advocate sustainability and increase public safety.

Our mission was accomplished last year when concertgoers were observed supporting vendors, signing up for workshops, discussing gardening methods with local farmers and growers, selecting seeds & cuttings to plant and carrying organic fruits & veggies away with excitement on their faces. Community success is measured in our gathering.

Over 2,000 attended last year’s event and we know it will be even bigger in 2010. BFAF is a Zero Waste event.

Please bring a bottle to fill at the Waterman Water station. This is an Admission & Alcohol FREE family day.

Reduce, Re-Use, Recognize Sustainability Hawaii!
