We are using a jotspot to keep track of the WiserCommons participants and content. We would love to switch this over to WE. Other groups in the Commons have a similar need with their data systems. The main issue prohibiting this move is that WE does not allow document upload and storage. Is this a possibility?

Hi. The site looks great. I did find the top search navigation to be confusing at first. I pressed one of the search tabs, thinking I was opening up a link to one of the pages, and then realized that the links were on the left instead.

I also think it's really important that there is no complex html in the editing sections. Most people are unfamiliar with this language and might delete html formatting that they perceive as errors in their text. Just a few thoughts!...I had fun "visualizing my network" with the help of Melinda...Keep up the good work!

thank-you Daniel!

New suggestion: Can we set up Wiser so that folks can create sub-domaines off Wiser Portals. For example:

Foodsystem.wiserearth.org

This way people promote the use of the portal by having "context sensitive restful" urls. And it encourages people to create their "own" thing but within the Wiser family.

I suggest having links open in new window or tab, so that the user is not directed away from the Wiser site and forced to find their way back..

Hi Betsy,

In response to your first two questions: 1, You can link to external pages, and there is a button to do this while you are in the editing toolbox. What you were probably clicking on was the button that has a chain on it (1st from left), the button you need to use has a globe on it (2nd from left). 2, For the moment, you do need to add links in your profile in order for them to show up in your visualize network function.
Your suggestions will be collated and added to the feedback collection page.

I'm sure I should already know how to do this...
(1) how does one add a link to an external site? There is no tool for this.
(2) When visualizing your network, do you add a link to people and orgs in your profile to have them show up on your network. An "add to your network" button would be very useful.

Some other suggestions:
(1) I'm sure you are getting many great suggestions for new features and tools. Is there a way to easily view all of the items in the "to do" list and perhaps vote on those items - this way the community could help set the priorities.

(2) Some folks have commented that they didn't even think to go to any of the "editors pages" because they didn't realize that they are editors. There is still some confusion as to what it means to be an editor.

(3) when editing sections, the tools should by default show up - some folks have questioned how to access the tools and did not notice the link that opens them.
