Details on Tabling for PSCC
We recruit Puget Sound Community Change Cardholders at events and stores. We set up an attractive table display including brochures, "live" community cards so users can immediately get a card, pens, signs, and everything else we need to sign people up.
---
We have borrowed a page from the world of games to organize and coordinate our work tabling to recruit more cardholders. Imagine a game called "Tabling to Recruit PSCC Cardholders". This documents explains the "point of the game", the "game pieces", and the "rules of play". Lets work together to become masterful at playing this game. Enjoy!!!
1. What's the point of tabling?
With Store or Event Staff:
To build a positive relationship with the event or store personnel. For example, cashiers can introduce the program and send people your way while you are tabling. Personnel can promote the program when we aren’t tabling.
PCC has made a three year commitment to the PSCC program, so we will often table at PCC. Through PSCC, they can give back to the community in a whole new way. We want them to be very happy when they see us!
With Store Customers and Event Participants:
To develop a positive relationship with customers we want to put cards in their hands that they use this visit. If they don't get a card, give them information about the program. Staple their business card to the form for faster sign up. If they already have a community card, answer any questions and encourage them to use the card at this store and at other participating businesses. We are also interested in encouraging people to get involved. More information on how to do that is at www.wiserearth.org/group/pscc and at www.pugetsound.cc
Our overall objective is to nurture and grow the program by increasing the number of cardholders, promoting the use of cards, and deepening our relationship with the community.

When you arrive at the store...
- Introduce yourself to the store manager or the event manager.
- IIf there is a community board area, replenish our brochure display with supplies if needed.
- Introduce yourself to the cashiers and event staff. They should expect people to come to the check out with cards. Invite them to send interested people to our table.
When at the table...
- Offer Free Community Cards to incoming customers. They must legibly, complete the contact information section of the Card Carrier tear-off sheet. Double check that you can read it before the person walks away. They can't get a card if we don't have correct information.
- We must have a name, address, and e-mail address. For people without e-mail addresses, we can still enroll them if they tell us their choice of beneficiary. They can choose 1-4.beneficiaries.
