Now that you have filled out your solution, let's get started on building up its network. A healthy network of connections increases the visibility of your solution on WiserEarth and brings greater awareness to the people and organizations implementing the solution.
| Actions Bar |

|
The Actions bar sits on the right-hand side of most pages, and provides a quick list of what options are available to you on a page. We'll focus for now just on "Add to your network" and "Add to a group", and we'll come back later in this tutorial to Comments and Submit for Review. |
|
Once you're connected to the solution, the link will change to "Edit your connection".![]() |
1. Adding a solution to your network is as simple as clicking
on the link in the right-hand side Action Bar. |

Once successfully added, click on "Edit your
connection" to edit the relationship to the solution. Click on the
drop-down menu to choose the type of relationship, and then enter in
any notes that you feel are relevant. |

2. Adding to your group is also as simple as clicking the link in the
action bar. Any groups that you belong to will show up in a drop-down
list. To add the solution to any of these groups, just click on the
name of the group. (If you've already added this solution to any of your groups, it will show up at the top of the list prefaced by a "Already added to...".) |
|
|
Under the network tab, you can start connecting your solution to people and content found across WiserEarth. |

1. Consultants, Practitioners and Funders Under the "Consultants", "Practitioners", and "Funders" section, click on the Add to bring up the "Add Party Wizard".
Consultants are individuals or organizations that either for free or for a fee provide guidance and support in implementing a given solution.
Practitioners are individuals or organizations that have experience implementing a given solution.
Funders are usually usually philanthropic foundations, but sometimes individual private donors who provide funding to implement a given solution.
To connect them to the solution's network, type in the name of the person or organization that you wish to associate, and hit Search to see if they can be found in WiserEarth's directory.

If they do not show up in your search results, consider using the "Add it" link to create a placeholder record to represent the person or organization. | |

2. Network module Scrolling down to the bottom of the page, you should see a network module that showcases all the connections associated with this solution, from People to Organizations to Events and Resources.
Click on each tab to show the various connections associated with that particular type of content. If you wish to make more connections, click on "[Add]" to open up the connection wizard. |
|

Then click on the type of content you wish to connect your solution to - either an organization, a person, another solution, etc. Enter in any keywords and select any options relevant to your search, and click Search to begin your query. |

Check the boxes next to the records that you want to connect to this solution's network. Once you are done making all your selections, look for the "Add connections" button in the top right. In this example, I've selected two records to add to the solution's network. Once I click on "Add Connections", they will be added to the solution's network. |

You can then view the network module afterwards to confirm the connections have been successfully added. |
