More and Different People Stats +5
Currently the People page has the following statistics available for all WiserEarth users:
Total Edits
Total Additions
Total Comments
This page would be more much interesting to view if we saw statistics of users in the past day, past week and even past year.
We would see some fresh faces in the list (instead of users who may not be as active as they were before), and statistics that would more accurately reflect WiserEarth activity.
Would like to see specific #s of Resources, Groups, Jobs, events created or edited and these numbers show up on the profile page of each user.

Any thoughts on how you want that table to be formatted? If you have an example in mind of the column headings, upload a spreadsheet and let me see a mockup of how we can improve this page. I'm quite sure we can query the database and sort it out as requested above, so I believe this ticket should be quite do-able.

Disregard my comment below on having lots of stats on a user's profile page - I dont think they should be very prominent. Hiding under View Your Personal Activity Report in the Activity Reports tab is fine. |
|
I agree - this will also help us to move forward with the recognition of user contribution. |

Check out how ned.com is doing it. There's a section listing users activity/reputation by "active", "tagged", "top rated", "largest banks" and "feedback given away" (see below). This should go in hand with the Recognize/reward User contribution in Profile suggestion. |

Good idea.

Nice additions Angus! I agree we should have tallies for types of edits as well....and to have these numbers show up on user profiles.

Yes, it would be great to have these edits listed at least on a weekly basis. You're right - at the moment they don't mean much as a single consolidated figure. You have my vote.

There categories dont resonate with me - I think it would be better to have a tally of Resources, Groups, Jobs, Events created / or edited. These numbers should show up somehow on a users profile to provide a reputational effect - and then based on the numbers a user could be automatically invited to join WE Editors etc.
