Draw/hope to learn
How to find voice (How to, listen to own heart)
Relate to Prophets
I like the concept of being a prophet – It is the right responsibility for all
Try not to live with expectations
Believe in the prophet within
We are the government, we are the church.
We need to know how to crystallize our personal voice and vision
We must understand how the good Lord works through people.
Advocacy – speaking our truth of what I am
Who we think is the prophet within?????
“Social Ministry” (Names of the Anguished)
Four pieces of the Frame
We are part of the three traditions of the Abrahamic faith which truly lifted up the prophets noted Rabbi Abraham Heschel “Prophets not motivated by anguish, they were motivated by the pain of others”
Prophetic Criticism
Moved by compassion which is the first step in developing a prophetic voice.
Trust other forces also moving and speak the truth in love to power
Point towards hope through prophetic energy putting the wind back into the sails og the community
The Prophets were deeply committed to non-violence and soul-force.
Prophet in us is the spirit of God in the world
Why would one want to speak and become a “prophet within” when world is hard on prophets?
We don’t seem to have leadership
Collective prophets?????
Many sense prophet is akin to originality
Frightening, new things happen, poise begins to work
Collectively we are in that place of originality to speak/act as one will come
Responsibility to speak in our prophetic voice
Institutions tend to support the status quo
If we are looking for leaders to change, we are not living our prophetic institution
Grow to trust the spirit that resides within.
Round robin input
Communal collective
Prophetic intuition
Struck by notion lack of prophecy due to fear
Voice of prophecy needs to come from love of earth , not fear.
Bill Grace forming Deep Hope Institute
Have to look at future of children
All of us are just as responsible
We have to change the mindset
We must make serious effort to walk the talk.
Aim correctly
Thankful to be here to be living dream
Now I can put my time and passion into living
Refilling glass with events like this
My hope is that interfaith dialogue is the next prophecy
It seems that everybody follows prophets with the big names, Our own prophetic voices requires a nudge
God needs whole people
