Setting Up Your Personal Profile

If you do not have a profile page on WiserEarth, click on Join in the top right corner of the screen, or set up your profile from here.

If you have already registered with WiserEarth, select your personal profile page by clicking on My Profile in the top right corner of the screen.

1) Contact Information Enter any personal information you would like to share with the WiserEarth community. When you fill out your personal profile and want to select multiple 'activities' you need to simultaneously press down the control key and select each activity On PCs: Ctrl + Select Activity On Macs: Command + Select Activity Note that any information you choose to put here, except for your email address, will be visible to the public. Read more about Protecting Your Personal Information and the WiserEarth Privacy Policy. Remember to click on save when you have finished updating your information

2) Areas of Focus

Be sure to select one or several Areas of Focus. This is how link yourself to other people with similar interests.

Under areas of focus, select Edit. Select one or more areas of focus by clicking on Add. Click Save when you have finished

3) About section

This is a section where you can be creative. Add information about yourself, your interests or your work by clicking Edit under the About section.

Enter information into the text box provided. To format the text, click on any of the tools under the toolbar.
You can share your background, your network, people you wish you had met (or could meet), your hobbies, your passions. You can also insert images, short videos, links to other pages on WiserEarth (e.g. organizations, people, resources) or external websites.

To add a link to another person, organization, group, resource, job or area of focus on the site, click on the insert Internal link icon, select the entity you want to add, enter the keyword and press search. When you find what you are looking for, click Insert link. A link will automatically be created that connects your profile to that entity.
