[from Narda] Hardly needs an introduction, James came to mind for his consistent, diverse and keen contribution to WiserEarth.

[from Honore] James is good.  Brings up very articulate points and has been a great set of eyes for spotting issues on the site.  Hearty endorsement from me.

Thank you Bowo,

What came up as a need for the WEversity discussions has nothing to do with policing, though this may be a consequential requirement...

A correlator, I understand, as one who can, through attentive listening, questioning and objectivity, creatively keep the threads of a conversation alive and together. Co-relating and reiterating the most relevant, important and fresh ideas said in a discussion is an art form, positively drawing out the best from both the topic and people - correlator included. Some of the great peacemakers practice it in their communications.

This stayd with me for a while and when James came to mind as a potential editor the connection was made between the two.

Hi Narda,

We have a similar function (editor role) called 'moderator' (for discussions). Do you think that'll do the trick? I'm gonna post my endorsement right after this. Thanks for nominating James, Narda, and welcome to you James to the editors team! Looking forward to see more of your here.

Cheers,

Bowo

Sm_avatar
Bowo, I've suggested WEversity correlation as it seemed to be a needed function generally. I think James could be good for that if he wishes to pull the threads together...
Sm_avatar
Thank you Celeste. This additional rule have been added in the guidelines above.

@ Bowo and Everyone

I support Bowo's suggestion regarding a time limit for responses of 1 month. I think any potential editor should be an active contributor to WE, circumstances permitting of course. It is always possible to contact Bowo and announce you wont be around for x period of time, and when you'll be back

Cheers Celeste

Hello all,

Please welcome Phil (philfromsussex) to the team!

Additionally, Edward and Patric have not been responding to my message (and seemingly have not been back on site for some time). I propose we add a new rule to limit application/nomination period to one month, after which, it will be removed from the table above. Any thougths?

Best,

Bowo

Cheers Celeste

Is there anything else I need to do for the editor application process?  I now have four endorsements.

Thanks,

Thank you everyone for your excellent work on WE and interest in becoming editors.

Glad to hear that Rick. I'm a big fan of the Transition Movement myself and hope to see it spread beyond the more developed parts of the world. Just checked out your group over at Transition Colorado. Interesting format (weekly meeting). Best wishes with your efforts there and you're always welcome to be more involved here should you be able to find the time in the future.
