WHAT ARE SOME IDEAS TO MOVE FORWARD WITH THIS GROUP? BEST COMMUNICATIONS, SHARING , AND MOMENTUM?

oMeeting idea—activity share: budget, org structure, funding plan, number of employees, benefits offered to employees, best practice: books, databases- propose to an environmental fund to create coordinator to sustain YEC- resource: CREEC.org
oPolitical access- support for E.E- - debrief today: subcommittee topics—who will organize?

oAre other cities doing this?- if so, follow their lead- if not, develop model to share- offer each other trainings: invite to each other’s centers, share resources through hands on workshops for each other

oFormalized structure for YEC- reward for participating: Slide Ranch diner event- share incentives ie Cal Academy
Future of YEC

oReg. MTG- Are we sharing resources? Who else should be involved- monthly meetings on different topics—some folks at each one but also new folks- also quarterly big meeting without folks- like greendrinks
oPlanning group—formalized commit for a year? Some structure around it
oLaura CREEC, AEOE? Compiles list but not as much interaction with list
oMonthly enewsletter: events for that month? Stories? Upcoming needs? Who would take that on? Incentive for that person? So they’re not too busy, or simply send monthly reminder to check website.
oYelp: blog? People post questions/ respond online
oMtg—youth involvement: social networking then breakout; youth, adults
oFind foundation or nonprofit that will fund someone to do this coordination - Betina would be willing to take this on
