Actually the reason for not allowing embedding content from other sites is because of security - malicious code can be embedded instead of photos.

Hi Vic,
Apologies for that. There should've been an error message of some kind in there. A homework to do.
The error btw, is caused by you copy pasting image hosted on other website. You will need to manually upload the images to the event page using the HTML editor (and delete those red marked errors by editing).
This is a simple best practice on the web to prevent bandwidth stealing, i.e. to host your own thing and use your own bandwidth, and not host on other people's website using their bandwidth. Alternatively, you can upload the pics to your Flickr or Photobucket account and insert from the HTML editor. See Help Desk >> Editing tutorial for more info.
