J&J (-) A Corporate Illumination Document

Edit this Page

Johnson & Johnson-
Uses questionable tactics (faulty credits) to claim it is reducing its ecological footprint, when in fact it has increased it over.

This page is dedicated to documenting the double action that Johnson & Johnson is taking.  We hope to recognize marketing attempts that affect the conceptual reputation of J&J and placing those next to actual business practices.

Marketing

Please post commercials and marketing actions of Johnson and Johnson  that present them as green.

Actual Business Practices

Please post statistics and data revealing the business activity of Johnson & Johnson.  This would include but is not limited to: annual investments, job structuring, budget suggestions, properties and assets.

  • More Hype Than Reality

J&J has zeroed in on saving energy, and has built several solar farms to power its buildings. Nonetheless, the company has relied on a questionable offset tool called renewable energy credits (REC) to claim its emissions have been slashed by 17% since 1990. Without the use of RECs, its emissions are up 24%. -NewsWeek-
