If anyone wants to start a omidyar.net WiserEarth group - now that the group feature is implemented - let me know when you do and I'll suggest that we link to it from the omidyar.net home page.

I see, I didn't understand it was just a mockup. Gotcha. I did offer Melinda Kramer the idea of starting a WiserEarth thread here: http://www.ned.com/home/ and then once the functionality is baked in here, it could be announced in that thread. Anyway, just and idea and keep up the great work.

Hi Mark, this is a rough mock template of a WiserEarth groups page with some explanations on whats going on. If you want I can add your profile pic to the Members section. Anyone can edit this template though, since its a wiki. The actual groups pages are near completion and will have limits on who can edit pages.

How do you join this group? (sorry, long day)

We approach any environment or context (e.g., microfinance) as a system that is comprised of individuals, institutions, supporting structures, and the relationships among them. We believe the most efficient way to build, enhance and sustain the enabling conditions of a system is to apply a broad combination of tools and to engage institutions and structures, not only within but also across sectors--public, private, and social. It is our belief that each sector has a distinct and vital role to play.
