The work of the Pavhamama Alliance is to bring the multi-media, “The Awakening the Dreamer: Changing the Dream Symposium” to the collective in order to bring forth an environmentally sustainable, socially just, and spiritually fulfilling human presence on this planet.
We showed a 12 minute video Introduction to the work of Pachamama Alliance and a description of the Symposium which is receiving high accolades and broad public acceptance, inspiring people to new levels of commitment for healing the planet.
So the question is: “ How can we REALLY bring forth an environmentally sustainable, socially just, and spiritually fulfilling human presence on this planet?”
Second question is: Given what you have seen and heard, what action might you now do to bring forth an environmentally sustainable, socially just, and spiritually fulfilling human presence on this planet?
Jerome C
- Interdependence. We are shifting to a time when we are realizing that we are interdependent.

The time of the lone ranger is over. What community does is hold us accountable and hold us in the process of what we say we are going to do.
---
Judith
It is about two value systems coming together in two progressions.
---
Rabbi Ted
Becoming aware of what is really necessary in terms of sustenance, to become more aware of what we are doing, can be automatically done. It is more about moving toward sustainable consciousness and change coming from that.
---
Thomas Berry, non violent commitment to sustainability. Restoring a sense of reverence to everything we do.
---
Joanna Macy – quote in the beginning—deep ecology shift from “we are saving rainforest” to “we are the rainforest saving ourselves from ourselves.”
---
Your work is to go into your world and make the transformation of consciousness. Change can’t be made when Empire overwhelms any kind of constructive conversation. It is an imperative to enter into any kind of conversation, even close friends with wealth and power, and see if possible to do anything about spreading wealth and sustenance.

Marge
If we are going to change this, alter the course of history, it will be tribal. It will start with grass roots efforts, not as a power but as a collective comment.
---
Victoria
The answer is in community, compassion for people who have a different point of view. It is becoming more widely acknowledged. I feel supported now compared to a few years ago.
---
Jack
If we are about developing relationships not so much about acquiring wealth. There will be a change in the paradigm shift.
---
Larry
We need a collective change in worldview, examine our assumptions and habits, modify our own routines and practices to take it into the world. About 2 years ago met with Dave Reichart to talk abut the Peace Alliance and was dismissed. It’s tough because of resistance. If we don’t change our worldview we will get swamped by those who want to maintain.
Edith
We need to claim worldview as our space. A good majority have conscience about a new story and we continue to be marginalized.
Next Round: What might you do differently as a result of seeing the DVD and hearing the sharing around it?
---
Larry
We have used consumerism to make us feel happy at the const of relationship.
---
Tom
I am moved about all that I cannot save.
---
Elizabeth
Coming away from Anodea Judith is a difference between what is static and dynamic. We need a dymainc balance between what is dynamic and static in both male and female energy.
---
Heather
Try hard to see as one, not defining other people as “other” but to see as part of the same whole our mutual interests and values.
---
Jerome
What I got from earlier presentation and breakout on intention. I gleaned that in shifting the paradigm means getting clear on my intention and work with other people and using intention to help create a better world.
---
Mary
Examine our own assumptions – look more intently at our daily repercussions that reverberate from our daily actions.
---
Heather
To be more intentional about getting up in public to uphold Brontlin Outline of Sustainability, to keep calling future generations and the rest of the work into a workd and not just pretending everything is OK.
---
Jack
Bill McKibben etc says that there all different ways of framing problem. But the big question is how to get from here to there. I frame in terms of hope. I may note get it done in this generation, it might take a long time but I can hope.
---
Elt
Reference Heather’s speaking out, “Try to address challenge of Empirial Institutions and Market Economy and coming out with logistical solutions.
Sonipher
I grew up believing in harmony. All the killing of terrorists and so on is violent and terrible. If I am truly spiritual and in relationship, so living in faith is in living deep ecology.
