Review Steps
Access Privileges
Access is currently restricted to the following group(s):
The following steps are undertaken during the review process:
- Step 1: Administrator reviews solution to see if it 'relates to biological diversity through the conservation of a species, ecological community, or ecosystem process'.
- Step 2: If the solution passes Step 1, the Administrator assigns Reviewers, if it fails Step 2, the Administrator 'Denies' the Solution.
- Step 3: Reviewers check to see if the solution has been 'implemented successfully in at least three different projects'.
- Step 4: Reviewers check to see if the solution has been 'endorsed by at least one other relevant organization or group'
- Step 5: Reviewers check to see if theresources necessary are in keeping with the capabilities of the types of organizations, groups or people that are intended to implement the solution. Resources would include such things as management capacity, technical expertise, manpower, and funding.
- Step 6: Reviewers check to see if solution is complete: Info, Problem, Action, Results, Limitations, Attachments, and Network sections are filled out as best as possible.
- Step 7: Reviewers check to see if the solution is a ‘Good’ practice - no alternative technique or method can be easily found that is both more efficient (less effort) and effective (better results) in accomplishing the task in the same setting.
- Step 8: If all steps are satisfied, the Reviewer 'Approves' the solution, if substantially satisfied but requiring adjustments the solution is 'Conditionally Approved' pending changes, and if on partially satisfied the solution is 'Denied'.
