categories when one could search all and get the results needed.

Haven't used the "add to network" feature extensively, but being able to search all is simply necessary. My +1.

In the same way that the search engine allows users to search for
"all"... users should be able to search for "all" when adding
connections... this will also increase the likelihood of someone adding
connections, as they won't have to make 5 different searches
(Organizations, People, Resources, Jobs, Events, WikiPages)
