Coming Soon to WiserEarth...

The building of WiserEarth is continuing. The WiserEarth community is currently expanding the capabilities and tools on WiserEarth. These are just a few that are either being developed or need to be developed. If you would like to take leadership in any of these projects, let the community know.
Language Accessibility
WiserEarth will soon be available to the greater community once we increase our language capabilities. The homepage and main webpages of the site will eventually be accessible in multiple languages. For the time being, we are using Google translations to help users navigate through the site in another language (we understand that these are still limited, so any assistance in translating the site would be very welcome). To access the Google translations, click on the links in the top right corner of the page.
Personalized Home Pages
Soon people will be able to personalize their home page to reflect the issues they're most interested in. When you log in, you may wish to choose a specific portal or community group to view, or go to a preset customized page containing information generated from within the WiserEarth site. For example, your main interest might be the Sustainable Agriculture portal, so you will be able to access all the information on that area of the site from your home page.
Calendar
The WiserEarth calendar will provide a visual representation of the events listed in WiserEarth. The calendar will be a focal point for the community to list events, and learn about upcoming events all in one place. Users will be able to search through all events, or just view events associated with particular Areas of Focus. The events posted on the calendar will also appear automatically on the related portals and groups.
