Meeting Notes - 10th April 2009

Meeting agreed:
* on the bioregional definition for food security defined/outlined as part of the Hawkesbury Nepean Catchment area and the Greater Blue Mountains map (http://www.visitbluemountains.com.au/map.php)
* to focus on food security and we established a working group
* that the main focus is initially to establish what the currect food security is in the BM and then develop the plan on how to create sustainable food for 2019, 2025, 2029 etc.

ACTION: Create a map of the Blue Mountains bioregion food security.

Subtasks (initial ones from this meeting)
1   Determine from current list which commercial producers and suppliers actually produce in the BM region, and their details (Lizzie/Margaret)
2   Establish mapping and database issues (Kat/Celeste)
3   Create location for storage of data, eg in Google Spreadsheets (Kat)
4   Update spreadsheet with data from your area and knowledge  (All)
5   Confirm Transition Towns Harvest meeting date  (Celeste)
6   Create presentation for Harvest meeting on project (Kat/Celeste/Lizzie/Sue)

Other notes:
We agreed to communicate via email, before the TT Harvest meeting, to develop what we will present to the community about the project. We'll get <5 minutes and no powerpoint. A great opportunity to engage a couple more people who feel passionately about food security and want to actively participate.

* 17th July is the Sydney Food Fair Alliance - a focus date to participate in some way (sorry I have no note on how)
* Next Blackheath Community Markets (2nd May) there will be 3 grain growers present to make contact.
