What does this application do?
Adding the WiserEarth application on Facebook will post your activity from WiserEarth into your Facebook's news feed. This way, your friends can stay informed of activity you do for your groups or around the site. It's a great way to let your friends know of your involvement on WiserEarth, and best of all, it's all automated! You don't have to do a thing other than add the application to your Facebook page.
What activity will be posted on my Facebook profile?
The WiserEarth application will show when you've joined a group, created a group, or posted any new information like replying to a discussion topic, creating a new event listing, an organization profile, a job posting, or a resource listing. The application will respect WiserEarth privacy settings - so any information in a private group will not show up on in your Facebook Profile. The application will also post a feed when someone has joined your network on WiserEarth.
How long does it take my activity on WiserEarth to show-up on my Facebook profile?
Facebook has their own policy on limiting how much and how often activity from WiserEarth will show up on your news feed, but the general turnaround time is anywhere from 3-8 minutes. At times, Facebook will wait to aggregate activity before it posts, so sometimes it may take longer than 8 minutes.
How much of my WiserEarth activity will be syndicated to my Facebook friend's newsfeeds?
Depending on your other Facebook activity, Facebook decides how much or how little of your WiserEarth activity will be synicated to your friend's newsfeeds. At all times your friends will be able to see all your WiserEarth activity on your Facebook profile.
How do I delete the application?
To do so, just go to the Application page on your Facebook profile, and click on the remove button.
