Connecting People to Weave a Better World

It is with great sadness that we report the death of Steve Habib Rose.  A number of us met this evening and thought that this group would be a fitting tribute. Lets use this group to recognize, honor and appreciate the many gifts and blessings he bestowed on so many of us. Please add yourself and your reflections.

Implemented: Highlight unclicked items in the watchlist alert page +2

Edit this Page

Implemented:

We've put in an option to allow users to easily clear all watchlist alerts.  We'll hold off on the highlighted of unclicked items, as the ability to clear all may help mitigate most of these issues.

-------------------------------------------------

Problem:

The "n Watchlist Alerts" (n being a number) text that appears in the top-right corner will not go away until a user have clicked through all the pages that's been changed. A problem arise when there's a lot of items in the watchlist and a user does not have the time to click through sequentially to a point where he/she lost track of which pages left unclicked. This would result in the "n Watchlist Alerts" text displayed all the time.

Solution:

1. Highlight unclicked items in the watchlist alerts page, much like how new (unread) messages is highlighted. Upon clicking, remove the highlight.

2. Perhaps there should be an option to set a user-defined period for alerts expiration. Or it can take the form of "Mark all alerts as read/checked/clicked".

Good ideas, it doesn't do the user much good to have the watchlist alert constantly showing up in the top right corner.  I'll have to talk with our developers on how we can improve this, and will use your suggestions as guidelines.
