Serving Aging

Trudy James At the initiation of her year old grandson she moved to Seattle in March.
Could no longer afford to do things and was unable to have conversations.
Enrolled to become a Diversity trainer in the hospital and took course " Five wishes training" which addressed how do we talk with the dying?

What a service it is to patient and family when people prepare for and die well!

How do we continue and serve till we die?

Once involved with terrible things like death, we are no longer afraid!

How can we begin to change consciousness /awareness about aging and death for ourselves and others.

My husband died at age 49 and I became 50 six weeks later.
I honor the day and each and every moment.
Not afraid to die  -Tell people I love 'em and hug 'em.
Clear up upsets.
If their is goodness in me I believe it will spill over.
Talk to mom and dad every day help them cope with old stories.
Get ready to die and you can live today.

I'd like to express attitude each day of gratitude.
But old habits of anxiety still around
Facing loss of short term memory
Want in my heart to be of service.
Was ombudsman - had to quit

Trudy Wisdom House - Interfaith Service resident.
