Blogging on WiserEarth : FAQ

Edit this Page
What is a blog?
A blog is a user-generated website where entries are made in journal style and displayed in a reverse chronological order (defined by Wikipedia). To read more about blogs, visit the glossary.

The blogging community across the internet provides its subscribers with a unique source of information and commentary on current issues. There are a number of popular websites that host the editorial work free to the writers. Their writings are easily accessed by the readers by a single user name.

On WiserEarth you may create your own place to voice your opinion. Although currently there is no specific template setup for a blog yet, creating a new article is really all you need to get started.

How do I start my own blog on WiserEarth?
  1. Begin by selecting the Add a WikiPage in the left column.
  2. In the name section, type in the title of your blog entry. Then you may begin to write your blog in the content section.
  3. Finally, once you have saved your work, select and copy the URL from your address box in the browser and use this as a link in your User Profile.
In future developments, WiserEarth will likely implement WordPress's opensource blogging software into our platform, which should greatly enhance the overall look and feel of the blogging experience.

For examples of this check user profiles of Peggy and marcusmatthew. They can also help you if you need some assistance.
