WE uses ISO standard (ISO_639-3)

Turns out WE does use this standard - just not implemented very visibly on the UI.

There already exists an ISO standard for language identification. Presumably WE should use some form of this to code languages in the backend database to improve subsequent data exchange / API with other sites.
