RSS widget/app/box that pings the weblinks on resource/organization/profile pages...
I believe that a sort of RSS widget on some profile pages would be an elegantly automated way to keep the record cards full of informative and updated content about the resource that they are recording. It would be a good way to keep in touch with these groups' sites and blogs and get more clicks on their sites through WE.
The WI setting could be adjusted based on server space, how long to store the rss data from the sites' feeds. This could be saved as some sort of gray matter for further study into patterns of what/how the word gets out.
I could have an RSS feed from my blog (or whatever) shoot links and stories to my WE profile, I could put NASA's feed on the NASA organization page that I made, I could have a profile for my small nonprofit group on wE with an automatically-updating feed from my .org site.
I think it will make the records more interesting for info-hungry people and give the indexing software something to munch on.

Seems to me we should have someway to tag RSS feed (with AOFs) - presumably as a resource - so that we can create a directory of relevant feeds - and provide any new user a customized news feed relevant to their needs. They could even take the feed itself turned into an RSS and read it on their preferred reader. I think its always better to have each WE member do work which can then be shared with the wider community. So my suggestion would be to have a resource category (if it doesn't already exist) of RSS feed.

Like the idea - let me see if I get you correctly - we have an RSS reader module/widget for groups that you can use to aggregate a bunch of RSS feeds and serve them up to your group? That way blog posts, news etc could be streamed into a group. Then the next question is whether these posts become searchable in WE or not and how long they are saved.
