I would like to have the ability to add photo titles/captions? Any input on this? Thanks!by Meghan (Meghanetp)

Yes I think this would be valuable especially as some communities really use the power of the images to convey their message (peggy)

Yes, allow uploaded images to have a "source" text field associated with them for citations. Maybe also have another text field to show some information on mouse hover over the image.. default to "source" or image name perhaps.

@ Meghan: Glad to help :)
@ Angus: Good idea with the photo source credits. |

@Bowo & Meghan: I've also noticed that WE users use a lot of free photos from places like Flickr which require attribution / a credit caption e.g. see this AOF and the photo source credits. Would be good to build this into the platform in some standard way. I will let Rehan/Honore (programmer/NCI staff) know about this suggestion since there is some overlap with stuff related to Solutions.

bowo, thank you for helping clarify what I am trying to do.
Images can be powerful. Without any captions/titles the meaning can be lost. The gallery is a great place to have images but with no ability to add captions/titles, visitors to our forum will not understand the image.
bowo also made a good point...it would be nice if it was user friendly. I am semi-computer savvy, however my boss is not and it would be nice to have an easy way to add captions/titles. For example when we upload a file it ask for a title. This is easy.

@Angus: I'm guessing Meghan's problem is simply that there's no easy way to caption images. At present, one can be creative with tables and text formatting, but this would be too much for average users. If the "insert image" feature can be expanded to include titles and captions, it'd be great and make things easier for everyone.
Another option with no coding upgrade needed will be to provide HTML templates for photo galleries with clear instruction for modifications. Users need only to copy paste the template, and insert their own photos and titles/captions in the appropriate places. |

@ Meghan: Could you tell us what your specific problem is? Why do you need photo titles.captions what problem will it solve? In other posts where using the format:
