Fence Building - Posts
Structures in Permaculture are important elements of design serving many purposes. This short article will describe the building of fences to delineate areas for a variety of activities such as providing enclosures to protect goods and animals or acting as supports for the growing of climbing or tall plants.
In this case Daniel Davidson asked for assistance in the erection of wooden posts for a tension wire fence around his north facing property in Hazelbrook in the Blue Mountains. Daniel purchased his timber posts and quickset cement prior to the working bee and had even erected one of the posts in order to demonstrate the process. In the picture below we can see the post sitting in its 800mm hole and being held in place with supports of old fence palings before the pouring of the cement.

As you can see it's a work in progress. As an artist you can also see that I love photos. I'll provide technical and design information soon.
