Update on suggestion:
I believe the root cause of this suggestion is actually a bug.  Your watchlist is not supposed to increase in tally for items that you yourself have changed.  We've since fixed that bug, so that only changes made by other users to a page you've watchlisted will show up.  Given this change, I believe the need to cancel a watchlist alert no longer applies.

Hey, all:

Sometimes the "Watchlist Alert" label on the upper right is superfluous, especially if you have just edited an item and then the label appears.  Case in point: adding this suggestion to the list here will cause the tally to increase.  Being able to Cancel the Alert or Zero Out the counter, instead of having to go to the Watchllist and open the subject page, which seems to be the only way to cancel it now.   Just a simple mouse-over "Cancel" would be a big help.  No sense in launching the carrier defense umbrella or going to DefCon 5 (sorry for the hyperbole).
