Loosely integrating WE with other Web 2.0 networks using an agreed tag

Edit this Page

Loosely integrating WE with other Web 2.0 networks using an agreed tag.

Presumably many of  WE members also contribute to other networks, if they were to tag their  items of interest  to us with a designated We tag, some interesting connections could be made.

Another approach could be to create WE groups specifically for sharing IDs/usernames, but this could result in huge and clumsy lists !

Any other suggestion

AOF = Areas of focus, look at the left hand navigation bar for 'Areas of Focus" for more info. Best, Angus

I'm not trying to solve a problem with this suggestion, just trying to extend WE into other areas and add in some fun.

"Unique WE tags used on other sites - e.g. WE+AOF would be a way of tagging globally for WiserEarthlings"  - I'm afraid I don't understand this sentence, what is AOF ?

Just using a shared tag may  be simpler than using complex plug-ins or widgets.

Why not just give it a try until something more wonderful comes along.

There are a bunch of people working on sharing content between web 2.0 sites so that you can be a user on one but benefit from the collective work of all the users on all the sites - see an example here. Unique WE tags used on other sites - e.g. WE+AOF would be a way of tagging globally for WiserEarthlings.

@Phil: Can you more specifically describe the problem you are trying to solve with this suggestion?
