A Paramoral Poet

When I look for the objective reporter of the instant
I look for the Eye of the One ‘I’ of the eyes of existence

A broadcast of news about passion - for instance - is at once
about the ‘I’ of fire and the ‘I’ of movement and the ‘I’ of life

and the ‘I’ of love and the ’I’ of bewilderment and the ‘I’ of error
and the ‘I’ of terror and the ‘I’ of horror and the ‘I’ of

acceleration-into-stopping-at-once-in-the-middle-of-a-state...
and the ‘I’ of delight and the ‘I’ of light and the ‘I’ of the other light

and you, you go ahead now, you name it... who will then ask a
paramoral poet how can Love go with terror, or error with sight?

No longer

Moon

Water

a breath of dust

A man

with a face

hidden by trees and mud

is falling down

Screaming

nonsense words

in the silence

of the time

he has lost
