Expanded Email Functions

Edit this Page
With the reorganization of the Editors Group into subgroups, it would be helpful to be able to CC: group members on an email, or have more than one person on the To: line. This probably would also be beneficial for other Group Administrators who would like to communicate among themselves without having to email the whole group. Perhaps could be accomplished by providing a "Profile" options where desired people could be listed. jp

There is already a group messaging feature where any group member can send a message to more than one people and even to the entire group members. This should address part of the problem. We may want to tweak this a bit so that people can reply back to group messages not using their personal inbox, but by using the originating group's messaging feature too. This should address another part of the problem.

As to a more generic one-to-many, cross-group messaging, we may want to limit this to people in one's network to avoid abuse of this feature (spamming, advertising, etc.). A "reply to all" feature would address the need to converse with several people at once.

All in all, I suppot improving the messaging feature to more resemble how email works. Good idea JP!

P.S. Next time, can you structure your suggestions as 'problem', 'solution', 'how i can help' and 'username'? This is the format we use.
