Arts activism is a form of direct action to bring about change, be it social, political, or environmental, using arts to educate, raise awareness, and promote the aims of the activists. Arts activism can include murals, storytelling, installation art, drama, and music to communicate the message of the activist organization.

EcoArts 2007 will be held September 14 – October 7 and will include a a major exhibition, “Weather Report: Art & Climate Change,” including more than 50 artists from throughout the U.S. and abroad.  Boulder, Colorado. 

Pinwheels for Peace

Public Smog is a park in the atmosphere that fluctuates in location and scale. The park is built through the economic mechanism of carbon trading. The park's size varies, reflecting the amount of emissions allowances purchased, properties of the atmospheric chemicals purchased, and the length of contract, compounded by seasonal fluctuations in air quality.
