Electric Power

Description

Electricity is one of the defining markers in the transition from developing to developed nations. Electric power supply for burgeoning megacities is a central concern. Sustainable infrastructure must choose the right components (e.g. power plants, power grid, transmission lines, cables, etc.) in the right configurations to prevent brownouts and blackouts and to maximize efficiency. Decentralized generators such as solar cells on roofs may be able to leapfrog power grids or return power to the grid.
