EcoVillages

Definition
Ecovillages are intentional communities, ideally of 50 to 150 people, that live sustainably and are dedicated to creating and demonstrating ecological, social, economic, and spiritual sustainability. The ecovillage movement is a global movement for small community living where consensus-based decision-making is possible and where the communities minimize their environmental impact and are as self-reliant as possible.
