Waste management refers to the methods of collecting, transporting, processing, treating, storing, and disposing of municipal, industrial, and commercial solid, liquid, and gaseous waste. The focus of waste management is increasingly to reduce the impact of waste on the environment as well as on human health, from reducing the quantity of waste produced to recycling waste materials to using landfill gas as a fuel.
