Seniors' Rights and Participation

Med_motherdaughter Seniors' rights are those human rights that are denied to older people on the basis of their age, such as equal opportunities to rent housing and to employment. Seniors' civic participation addresses the ability of seniors to actively participate in community, local, and national institutions, as well as removing the social, cultural, and economic barriers to civic participation experienced by seniors on the basis of their age. The effective civic participation of seniors strengthens institutions and empowers seniors to defend their rights.
