Environmental law and policy refers to the practice of creating new regulations, laws, and practices, and of changing existing ones through campaigning, lobbying, advocacy, and direct action, which have been adopted by a government or an organization, and which govern activity related to the environment, such as laws and policies relating to land use planning or toxic dumping
