Felids

Lions, tigers, cheetahs, cougars, and domestic cats are examples of the thirty-seven species of felids. Felids belong to the family Felidae and are carnivorous, with haired but not bushy tails, lithe, muscular, with five front leg digits and four behind. They have retractile claws. Some are considered a threat to domestic animals and some hunted for the fur trade. Many are vulnerable or threatened (e.g. the Asiatic cheetah). Med_tiger
