Dialogue, Deliberation and Consensus-Building
| Dialogue and deliberation describe a set of tools used to increase citizen participation by fostering dialogue to generate collective intelligence and community understanding. The intention of dialogue and deliberation is to inquire, to explore and to discover shared solutions to community concerns based on understanding and learning from other peoples' perspectives. Consensus-building is the process of finding common ground and a permanent outcome that is satisfactory to all parties involved in a dispute. |
