Pollution remediation is the practice of repairing and removing the damage to the land, air, and water that is caused by any pollution. Many remediation activities involve the removal of toxic contaminants produced by industrial pollution on brownfield sites. There are many methods of remediation, from removing contaminated soil, to capping and sealing the source of contamination, to using living organisms for bioremediation of the pollutants.
