Peace and Peace Building

Peace is sometimes defined as the absence of war. More often it is a state of society when differences are resolved without the use of armaments and when public order is respected by the parties in conflict. Peace does not mean that conflicts do not exist, only that they are resolved by pacific means- arbitration, mediators, courts, regional organizations, diplomacy or the UN. In times of peace, both national and international humanitarian laws are in force. Peacemaking is the act of building and maintaining peace through consensus, mediation, and conciliation, with the consent of all parties in a conflict. Peacemaking includes pacifism, campaigns to prevent military action, and can involve diplomatic and military action, with the intervention of the United Nations, to further the aims of peace and security.

International Day of Peace (Peace Day), September 21, is an opportunity for individuals, organizations and nations to create practical acts of Peace on a shared date.  Established by a United Nations resolution in 1981, the International Day of Peace was first observed in September 1982. In establishing the International Day of Peace, the United Nations General Assembly decided that it would be appropriate:

to devote a specific time to concentrate the efforts of the United Nations and its Member States, as well as of the whole of mankind, to promoting the ideals of peace and to giving positive evidence of their commitment to peace in all viable ways. (The International Day of Peace) should be devoted to commemorating and strengthening the ideals of peace both within and among all nations and peoples.”

Peace Day is celebrated annually on September 21, in all parts of the world. On this day, millions of people worldwide come together to create one day of Peace. In 2006, more than 3500 Peace Day events, such as concerts, workshops, vigils and school projects, took place in 200 countries.

Anyone can observe Peace Day. It can be as simple as lighting a candle and meditate on Peace or inviting friends over for a Peace gathering.

Find out how you can celebrate
Peace Day.

HumanBeingFlag

The purpose of this Flag, is to go Beyond, Color, Prejudice, Inhumanity and Injustice to All Human Beings.
We are All Human Beings.
We are All connected.
Our Soul, Spirit, is either All colors, or no color, or both.
I cannot debate that issue.
The flag has the four Human Being colors,,, White, Yellow, Red, and Black.
The triangle in each color represents our connection with the other Human Beings.
All pointing to the Centre, The Circle of Life.
The Centre represents Our Soul, Spirit, also the Circle of Life.
The symbols represent Man and Woman. Equal, but different.
And the symbol for Infinity, reminds Us All, that we will Forever be Connected as Human Beings, (Soul-Spirit)

As Human Beings, we were All born with Equal Rights. EQUAL RIGHTS. NOT EQUAL OPPORTUNITIES.
And for that,,,,,,,, I am saddened.
This is an invitation to go Beyond, Color, Prejudice, Injustice and Judgment.

This is an invitation to Share in Unity and Peace.

Purchase a Human Being Flag, and Present the world with another option.

This flag represents a Reach for Unity and Peace.
